When we heard the incredibly sad news that our colleagues’ little boy is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital, the London office decided it was time to take action. Our party planning committee Social IQ joined forces with our exceptional event organising team (and numerous other volunteers) to create a day of fundraising that would go down in IQPC history.

Of course as an events organiser, team work and team spirit is at the heart of everything we do – it’s the reason we’re able to produce such high quality events year on year, but there was something really special about Friday 24th April 2015.

I’ve seen collections for charity before but nothing quite on this scale.  Everyone in the office seemed to have embraced the fund raising efforts, whether they baked cakes, biscuits, scones and other sweet stuff for the cake bake or whether they bought ticket after ticket in the raffle, (a BIG thanks to so many of our regular suppliers who donated such fantastic prizes) or whether they bid a small fortune to win prizes in the auction (ATP finals tickets, designer handbag, signed football shirt) – IQPC London got involved!

Our management suggested that everyone finished work at 4.30pm, supplied drinks for the entire company and then declared that IQPC would MATCH what ever money we had manage to raise. So how did we do? We raised a fantastic total of £10,000 for The Royal Marsden Hospital – a very worthy cause.

It felt like pretty much all 280 members of staff moved from the office to the closest pub and carried on celebrating a fantastic day of fundraising – it really was an electric day and one that should make all our employees very proud to work for a company like IQPC.
