veterans-day-1Veterans Day is observed annually in the United States on November 11; it was at the 11th hour on this, the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, that the major hostilities of World War I were formally ended.

Today Veterans Day serves as an opportunity to remember and thank the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces.

In honor of Veterans Day our New York team created and delivered care packages to the local VA hospital in Manhattan, along with a gaming system for the veterans to enjoy in the common room. Every department and individual contributed to this effort giving their time, money and donations.

Our office was able to collect enough donations for care packages for 50 veterans, and our volunteers delivered them to the mental health and substance abuse unit of the VA. Many of these veterans can feel forgotten and lonely so it meant allot for them to have visitors and be thanked for the sacrifices they made for our nation.

The team was honored to meet all the Veterans and especially grateful to hear stories from Mike and John, two of the brave veterans who served our country.

They thanked us so much for caring and taking the time out to come, but the real debt of gratitude goes to them.
